  Mort Crim
Category: Journalists

In brief To an increasingly hassled and frustrated society, Mort Crim delivers optimism, perspective, and hope.

Fee Range:

In a world filled with negative media messages, Mort's speeches are about solutions, triumphs and faith.

Mort Crim has given the keynote address to Kmart Corporation, Chrysler, the Million Dollar Round Table, Ford Motor Company, Northwestern Mutual Life Insurance, the National Funeral Directors Association and hundreds of other top organizations. His message has proven just as popular on campuses and at conventions, where Mort's humor, motivational messages and "can-do" attitude leave them cheering.

In a culture that celebrates the negative and sensational, Mort sees reasons for optimism. He offers direction to a society that seems to have lost its compass, and gives reasons for hope to a country that is anxious about its future. Using wit, humor and plain talk, Mort Crim reminds his audience about what's truly important in life: caring, service and purpose. Mort's common sense philosophy always strikes a chord: He's in demand by Fortune 500 companies, professional associations and universities, where his poignant stories and "can-do" attitude often bring audiences to their feet.

A former network journalist whose reporting has included Apollo moons shots, the Yom Kippur war, the Newark riots and Presidential summits, Mort Crim is a creator and host of award-winning radio series Second Thoughts, now airing on more than 700 stations worldwide. Having guested on the Today Show, Donahue and editor and host of the PBS series New Tech Times, he is has experience also with WDIV-TV (NBC), in Detroit, as an evening news anchor and senior editor. His newscasts were twice named Best Local TV Newscast in America by United Press International.

Mort Crim is also the author of various books, including: Second Thoughts: One Hundred Upbeat Messages for Beat-Up Americans (first printing sold out in just three months!), One Moment Please, essays based on his radio scripts, Like It Is, a journalist's view of how personal convictions apply to everyday life, and Take Off & Fly, audio cassette series on reaching life=s highest altitudes. His latest book is Good News for Tough Times: Lifting You Up When Life Lets You Down. He has won eight Emmies.
